I am thrilled to welcome you to my website and to the forums! I'm hoping to provide a place where artists and others who are seeking to increase their creativity can connect and support each other. In order to create a place where people can feel safe to realize and express their innermost experiences during the creative process, we want to treat each other with respect and empathy.
I hope you will find strength, inspiration, and comfort here. Thank you for stopping by, and I look forward to many meaningful conversations!

Excuse me for asking here, but is it possible to post fotos on your site?
Of course, I could try, but I see no edit function, in case. . .and it might be as interesting for others.

Finally got around to placing my order... best of luck Anne.
Maybe one day I can stop dreaming about being a sculptor.

Annie,
THANK YOU!!!! for providing this wonderful forum and site. I am so glad that I went to the PG forum tonight (I also do not get there very much these days, so it was great to read your post about your success!).

I am sure you are thrilled to have your book published and I wish you every bit of success with it (from here I'm going to look into ordering a copy of it).

I miss our chats and please know that I do think of you often. I'm honored to know you and hope that someday soon we'll get to meet in person :>) and you can discuss one of our favorite subjects -- creativity, creative people, animal-loving people, etc.

All the best to you as you travel down your chosen path! Kind regards,
Pat Parker

Is it possible to draw, paint, do portraits in pastel, shoot great photos, design web sites, AND write well?

When I was a girl I didn't know any better, and I believed everyone loved school, knew how to draw, write and illustrate little stories, and looked forward to using paints in our art classes.

All that changed in middle school. Things I did well brought unwanted attention from teachers and the principal, and unkind attention from classmates. Wanting to fit in, I stopped getting A's, I stopped writing and drawing . . . I was an army brat, so when we moved I could re-invent myself and do the things that came naturally, until the cycle started again.

I'm an adult now. If I became a successful author? I shudder at the very idea. But I want it so much.

I beg people to read my stories for feedback, and nothing happens. The writing groups I've joined online fail to live up to their name. There are no groups in my community. My sole encouragement comes from my wellness team and writing instructors.

I don't want to hang out with people who "want" to write, meet to socialize over food or drinks, discuss the works of famous authors, lament over their failure to write the great novel, or aren't committed to learning the craft. I have no friends to turn to.

I don't want to sacrifice drawing for writing or photography. Can I have it all? Am I punishing myself for doing too many things well? When I turned in writing assignments I always turned in work with mindless mistakes and typos that I missed after eight edits and rewrites. In art school I'd accidentally spill something on a finished project.

Am I the only one who does this? Am I my worst enemy?

Sorry. I'm confused. I thought I'd be able to chat with others here. I did not mean to be redundant.

Please accept my apology. I erred through ignorance. :D

Hi Anne and everyone,
I finally managed to log in to the forum. Thanks for not giving up on me Anne! And thanks to Andy as well for his help.
Now I just have to come up with something intelligent to post to the forum. . .
